FOCUS Training is a critical part of Kingdom Channels; our goal is to better equip those who wish to serve in the Middle East and beyond. We do a combination of in-depth training, intensive study in classroom settings, team building activities, and preparing new laborers with practical skills.
The training, which is limited to 36 attendees, is designed to be an intense crash-course on a wide range of topics relevant to workers serving in the Middle East, including refugee care and team dynamics. Teachers include Elijah Yoder, Brent Bear, and others.
The cost to attend FOCUS is as follows. We offer an early registration discount for applications received at least 45 days prior to the event opening day. Early registration discounts for the June 2024 training end April 17, 2024.
These prices include the $100 deposit required with each application. Couples/families may sign up on one application.
Singles
$1,100/person ($950 - early registration)
Couples & Family Rates
$1,500/married couple ($1,350 - early registration)
$750/adult child, ages 17-21 ($600 - early registration)
$300/child, ages 13-16 (no early registration discount)
Children 12 and under attend free of charge.
This helps cover meals, lodging, training facilities, speakers, and other basic expenses. We encourage all trainees to either cover this amount themselves or raise sponsorships from family, friends, or their church. If this is not possible we may have other scholarships available, contact us for more info. Approved adult applicants currently serving in the 10/40 Window, whether with KC or not, automatically qualify for a scholarship of $450 towards the applicable rate.
Once your application is approved, please write a check to Kingdom Channels (earmarked as FOCUS tuition) and send to Kingdom Channels, 2044 W Main St Ephrata PA 17522.
Application can be made online or via the downloadable PDF. The $100 deposit and a reference form are also required to complete your application. (The deposit will be refunded if your application is not approved or training is full.) After completing your application, you will be redirected to a payment page for the deposit and will receive an email with a link to our online reference form. Alternatively you can download the PDF form(s) and submit materials to our main office (2044 W Main St Ephrata PA 17522) or email them to contact@kingdomchannels.org.
This training is contingent on sufficient enrollment. In the event of cancellation or postponement applicants will be notified at least 6 weeks before the beginning of training.
A Student Reflects…
Both staff and trainees brought themselves as people ready to hear and ready to share with others from their own lives. Kingdom Channels brought in a variety of speakers who cared deeply about the Christian life and God’s heart for the nations. We learned some of the history, politics, and religion of the Middle East, practical aspects of daily life, and strategies for gaining access to countries and people groups. We spent hours together in single-gender small groups praying, working through personal struggles, and digesting and processing various aspects of training. FOCUS included organized times of prayer, worship, and sharing, as well as a defined structure and an atmosphere of intentionality. This culture was reflected outside the formal schedule through spontaneous conversations at meals and throughout the day.
